Weekend Outing

Been working on weekends. Don't you just hate working on a saturday and sunday? Anyways, moving on to more happy things, which is food and friends obviously.

Last weekend, i couldn't wait for the Korean dinner and we made it at last. Sometimes, it pays to choose a venue based on the company for dinner rather than what's being served.

It is only gracious to offer your guests the kind of food that suits their taste and preferences, rather then what you perceive them to like.

Our initial plan was to celebrate a friend's birthday who was a big fan of Korean cuisine. Hence a Korean restaurant was selected. It was a pity that the birthday boy did not make his appearance. This, however, did not dampen the mood of the night and the party went on.

The venue for the night was Daorae Korean BBQ in Taipan USJ. If you've never been to this restaurant before, i would say it's not exactly a place for fine dining. Food served here is, however, mouth watering and will not burn a hole in your pocket.

We started off by ordering the pork ribs in hot spicy soup and pancake. After browsing their menu, we decided to order 2 plates of chicken, and 1 plate each for beef, lamb & pork ribs.. We knew it was probably going to be too much food, but we wanted variety. The meats were nicely marinated and very tender and juicy after grilled. Yummy!!

I think for all the food we had, it came up to about RM50 per person. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience because the setting and ambience is very good especially if you have a small group of 4-6 people, you can opt for an authentic dining table. It's a nice place to throw a small party too.

So how could any dinner with my friends be complete without a coffee session after this? After that, we adjourned for our second round at Station 1 Cafe in Taipan with another few friends joining us. We bid farewell to each other around 1am.

I knew both QQ & BQ were keen to sing. Therefore i suggested to the girls to have a karaoke session. We headed off to the karaoke centre Neway. We thought of trying our luck to just pop by and check if there is a room available as we did not make a reservation. We managed to get a room to ourselves and had fun. We called it a night at 3am.
