Yesterday was my last day working at "Fork & Sun". Time flies, now that i have finished my tenure at this company. It was very bittersweet to be leaving my job and moving to a new environment. I always knew it would be. Sometimes it's kinda funny how you get used to doing something.
For various reasons, the decision to take this step has been maturing for a long time already. Three years at "Fork & Sun" is a significant chunk of my life. I certainly enjoyed my career at the company and made many great friends during my stay here. But i now just have an urge for something completely new. Three years at company with good and bad days and now sailing to a new phase in my life.
Last friday, i had several colleagues taking me out to lunch. Good lunch, great company and fun. And yesterday, i got wonderful calls from people i have worked with over the years. These people phoned me just to wish me well. For that, i always be grateful beyond more words.
Now i'm looking forward to the one week break but at the same time, i don't have an agenda. So its one week of chilling out that i plan. I suppose i'm going to enjoy catching up with friends. In the meantime, i also have a lot of preparations that demand my attention. On the other hand, i'm hoping the sprained ankle gets recovered before my new job. I think i better putting my feet up and resting at home.
Starting a new job is all a big challenge and will require me to quickly learn lots of new things which i don't know much about. I'm trying to just embrace this as my next adventure and stop worrying about exactly what's in store. I'm excited to start my next chapter in life. I don't know yet what my next challenge will be, just wish me luck!
