Car's battery dead

It happened on friday while i was about to leave the mall after my lunch. When i turned the ignition key, all i heard was a buzzing sound. I didn't get my car started after trying few times. Was thinking whether my car's battery is died.

Called up the security of the mall for help. The guy asked me to turn on the lights and see if it works, he then told me that it's not a matter of battery. Alright, so what's the problem?

In a way, thank god i was lucky, there was a kind man came over with his wife to find out what the problem is. He checked the car for me. Yeah i was right, the battery was big time dead. I never have problems with my car. I didn't know how to solve them. Or maybe i should say there's no way i could solve it. It's either i change the whole battery or get someone to jump-start the car.

End up, the man helped me to jump-start the engine of my car by connecting the battery to the battery of his car with jump lead. I was told by the wife that someone give them a hand when they are in need of help, thus they help others as well. Yeah very true, we should help each other at all time. I'm gonna get myself a jump lead too.

To my relief, i managed to drive back to office with safe. I did not have time to fix it on the spot, as i was in a hurry for meeting. Later, i found out from the workshop that a car's battery is normally good for 3-5 years. What? But the one i had lasted for only 2.5 years. So was it due for replacement?

Anyhow, i changed a new maintenance free battery after work with a damage of RM250, which i thought was decent.
