Bear The Brunt

There was time when you feel the brunt of office crisis and wake up wondering if your work is completed or whether you can still cope with the workload.

I have been restless this week. Having a tough time at work lately and it's one reason you haven't hearing from me as much. I apologize for this.

I have been trying very hard to ignore my sadness about said job, but i realized ignoring my sadness isn’t doing me much good, so now i’m letting it out here on blog where i have been putting on a happy face as best i can for awhile.

Work started like hell since wednesday morning when the boss called up a brainstorming session at 9.30am. His intention was to increase another 20% of the current sales by July. Gawd, can you belive that? Idiot he was. Like planning doesn't take time.

Thus, seven of us were stuck in the office til almost midnight on wednesday. The worst was we had not taken our breakfast & lunch and survived the whole day with only plain water. Thankfully we had McD delivery at 9pm ish.

Bad thing had been dragged to friday. Learnt to be smart, i had buns with me on the following days. And we left slightly early for that two days, as we were really in need for rest. It's kinda sad that we haven't sorted it out. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next week.

I seriously do not understand of increasing 20% of the monthly sales when the company reluctant to allocate a budget to support your planning. We are talking about millions here, therefore it's never an easy job.

I'm getting enough of all these. Speaking of this company, it sounds heaven but indeed hell. Forgetting about the employee welfare, we are requested to work on alternative saturday. Seemed it's bearable right? But it's from 9am to 6pm. And we don't off on every public holiday like Wesak Day and etc. Touching on the attendance of employee, they have even more rules waiting for you.

I was so "impressed" with our lovely HR. They are absolutely CREATIVE in their work. What do you say about the bloody memo instructing all the staffs not to set the air-con below 26C? Energy saving?

And why are they restricting all the employees from having lunch or sharing a same transport with suppliers? Isn't this funny?

In fact as an employee, we don't mind giving all our time and energy to the company if they appreciate our effort end of the day. Hell no, not at all. What you would probably receive by late month is a love letter from the Admin Dept reminding you to watch out the usage of water and electricity in your department. WTF is this?

With all these funny thingy, can someone please tell me that i'm not working in hell? Perhaps i should stop working with all these idiots when the year turns 2010. I supposed my life would suck if i continue my service here. Let's see how it goes...

Either you live with it or just leave it. I know it's easier said than done but if you're really can't take it anymore (and I don't mean that you can't), you can always try another job.

"Tong Ka Hmm Ta, Ta Sai Ka" (hopefully you get this)

Better take more rest during the weekends when you're not working and take it easy on the gym if it's a rush.

You're young and the world is still ahead of you. Don't let work consumed all your time. Balance it out and hopefully it won't affect your health in a time like this.

Take Care dear~!

Well.... You are still alive! That itself is one huge celebration! =p

Like I said, your boss must be damn desperate for the 20% of sales..

Take care yourself my dear. Life is NOT just about working, and that is NOT the only place to work. Nevertheless, go with a proper planning, start looking around if you think this job is not for you.. When time comes, be a brave risk taker and jump over the next opportunity!

Meanwhile, try your best to keep you sanity! rest well... =))
